Solar energy has many applications and advantages over traditional forms of energy such as fuels and coal. Solar energy has been considered a promising source of alternative energy for decades, but up until recently most research and technology had focused more on the exploitation of the Sun’s light rather than the actual light itself. In order to fully exploit the power of the Sun, we need to learn how to convert it into an energy that we can use on a widespread scale.

Solar energy is very attractive to utility-scale solar power plants because of the numerous opportunities it presents. Not only is it extremely reliable and cost effective, but it is a great form of clean energy. The sun will always be there, day and night, even during a total solar energy blackout!
Solar energy has many drawbacks
The biggest of which is the fact that the planet earth takes several billions of years to heat up enough to provide a solar energy resource. Secondly, the amount of solar energy which is produced by the earth each year is minuscule in comparison to the amount of nuclear energy which is produced by mankind. Thirdly, the production process for solar energy is incredibly complicated and prone to error. Lastly, solar energy as a form of energy does not last forever. Once the sun goes down, so too do most of its other sun radiations. This is known as the “use-or-miss” principle, because solar energy can only last for so long as it is used.
If you want to use solar energy to heat your home, then you should look into either a natural gas HHO (High density hydroxy) conversion system or a solid oxide catalyst (solar photovoltaic). With a natural gas HHO system, you would need to build a conversion unit which burns natural gas in order to create the chemical reaction which causes the heat to be emitted. A photovoltaic (solar) system on the other hand will use light from the sun to directly convert into electricity. With either system, you would need to build at least one heat generating mechanism and a storage unit to store the power that the heat produces. However, if you are really concerned about your carbon footprint and do not mind using some nuclear fusion technology in order to reduce your overall carbon footprint, then go ahead and enjoy the sun!
